Today, the boys are home from school because the roads are iced over. Texans driving on ice is NEVER a good idea! Laughing :)
Since we are all home, it's got me thinking about a few of my favorite recipes that fill my heart with warm memories. These are easy recipes perfect for quick dinners and effortless desserts on busy, cold weekday nights. I also love making them for a Sunday lunch!
This is super easy and so, so delicious soup. It's perfect to throw together for a sports practice, meeting, or game night.

My parents used to make my great grandmother's meatloaf recipe, and this is the closest recipe I can kind that tastes the same. It's old fashion, uncomplicated, and will warm your heart. Make it with mashed potatoes and green beans or cabbage with onions and bacon, and you will taste my childhood.

I had a friend in high school who's mom made the best chocolate fudge pie ever! This recipe is very close to it, and my mom jokes that it was the best thing that came from that friendship. I don't know about that...but I won't deny this pie is delicious!

Yall, seriously, this is the BEST banana pudding recipe you will ever make!!! I usually make it for potlucks and family gatherings because it's a crowd favorite. I change out the cookies for Villa Wafers because that's the cookies I'm used to with banana pudding, but I think I might branch out and make them with the Chessmen cookies soon.
