If you are on TikTok, I'm sure you have seen all the rage of "The Coastal Grandmother!" And, y'all, this old soul absolutely loves this trend!
In case you are not familiar....think of the movies Somethings Gotta Give, It's Complicated, Home Again, Father of the Bride, and icons Ina Garten and Martha Stewart. All of these are the essence of the coastal grandmother!
Being a coastal grandmother is not about having "grandma fashion or home decor" but more about a lifestyle. It's about being a strong, independent woman who values the art of hard work while still balancing a relaxing environment for her family. These chic grannies (wink) appreciate a career and the pleasure of cooking, baking, and traditional hobbies.
In the next few weeks, I'll be discussing more of this lifestyle with home decor, but today I'm going to concentrate on fashion. To achieve this style, think of classics! Navy stripes, linen, creams, khakis, whites, shades of blues, crisp cotton, white tennis shoes, and neutral sweaters.

Hopefully, you get a chance to indulge in this lifestyle with a weekend filled of antiquing, fresh flowers, farmer's market shopping, and a slow morning with a warm cup of coffee and a great book. Fingers crossed, I get one of these weekends soon too!
