Our Getaway to La Cantera Resort & Spa

Last week Cam and I desperately needed a few days away! He had just completed tax season, and well, if you know accountants, you understand that they work crazy hours to finish before April 15th. So being overwhelmed for a few months, along with baseball practices, baseball games, and a prom at our house, we needed time to sleep, relax, and spend time together to gain our bearings.

We wanted to find a place where we could relax and were extremely grateful to find La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio.

La Cantera resort is 550-acres of hill country heaven at the highest points in San Antonio. It offers adult and family-friendly pools, the unbelievable Loma de Vida Spa, and an outstanding 36 holes of on-site championship golf.

I can't explain it, but it felt like we were like a resort in Mexico and not San Antonio. We only live a few hours from SA, so it was the perfect staycation. We could get the luxury and relaxation we wanted without taking the time to travel. It was fantastic, and I highly recommend it if you want quiet time to reconnect.

Cam and I had the best afternoon playing golf together.

We spent hours at the spa. First, we both had massages, then Cam spent hours in the steam room, and I drank mimosas on the spa balcony.

We also hung out at the adult-only pool, napping, drinking, and swimming. Oh my, it was glorious!

We even went full-on lazy and had room service for dinner. It was the best.

Oh, and we stayed on the seventh floor, an adult-only floor with a lounge that offered free snacks, drinks, and happy hour every day from 5-7pm.

Cam and I did not want to leave! We lingered until 11 am until we had to check out. (ha)

We usually go to Fredericksburg for our anniversary, but I think we have a new place now and I can't wait to go back!

If you are looking for a spot to unwind in Texas, I definitely recommend La Cantera. Here is the resort link with amenities and offers if you want to take a look.

I hope you have a chance to visit soon.

Wishing you a wonderful Saturday friend,

amber :)
