The Pioneer Woman's Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

The Pioneer Woman actually taught me how to cook! When I would watch her show, I gained the confidence I needed to take risks in the kitchen and try different recipes. Ree's recipes are also very "boy preferred" with her country flair so the guys were especially happy when I was a faithful viewer of her cooking show.

Many years ago she shared this recipe for homemade pumpkin cinnamon rolls, and I knew I had to try them! I can't seem to master her original cinnamon rolls, but I can do these and love them. I also think they make a great gift for family and friends in your community. What a great way to spread a little fall joy!

I'm just sharing the pictures of my process. I don't want to plagiarize her recipe. All the ingredients and directions are on the link above.

Combined Milk, Vegetable Oil, and Granulated Sugar. Also, if you use her wooden spoon brand it's guaranteed they will turn out! Ha...just kidding, but I was sure hoping it would help!

Combined Dry Ingredient for the Dough

Combined Dry Ingredients to the Wet Ingredients

Doesn't that look delicious! Then you let it rise!

Continue with the Filling! Yum...starting with melted butter never hurts!

Neither does brown sugar, granulated sugar, and yummy spices!

Get Ready to Roll the Dough

Roll Dough into a Rectangle. Sprinkle the filling and pecans. Oh My!!!

Roll the rectangle into a log. Also tearing off a little dough and eating it will make you happy, I promise!

Cut into slices and put into a pan. I was giving these away as gifts so I used aluminum pans.

Bake and look how great they turn out!

Then add on the "oh so good" cream cheese icing (sorry, didn't get any pictures of that) and sprinkle on a few more pecans.

Once they were cooled, I wrapped them with plastic wrap, added a fall tag, and tied a bow on the top. These make a perfect fall gift!

I think the ladies at the Dollar Store loved them!

I hope you get a chance to try these scrumptious cinnamon rolls. They are easy to make; you just need a little time!

If you make this recipe, please send it to our IG account @theoldrivernest. We would love to share on our stories.

Happy Fall Friend,

Amber & Brooke :)

Also, if you decide to bake these as a gift here are the fall tags I created. You can just screenshot and upload to a word document to print. Happy gifting! :)
